Jesse Hart 1851-1919

Jesse Hart was my Great Grandfather and lived in Faversham all of his life. He was recorded in 1892 as running a bakery at 16 Court Street until 1897 at least. The building was demolished and is now the site of the Shepherd Neame brewery headquarters.(See photo)

The photograph below shows the bakery before it was pulled down for the extension of the Shepherd Neame site.There looks to be a small boy looking out of the upper storey window. It is more than likely that this is my Grandfather, Herbert William Hart. Any information as to what the military occasion might be would be most helpful.
